    No More War

    I have sat and listened
    to the stories of war
    death and destruction
    the killings and more-

    I've cried and wept
    till I can take no more
    will there ever be and end
    to this thing called war-

    I thought we had learned our lesson
    with the vietnam war
    when the soldier's came home
    we vowed no more-

    Now- here we are once more
    sending our kids off to war
    I'm afraid to turn on the tv set
    the news only gets worse with each event-

    These lies must stop
    this war must end
    we are in a war
    we cannot win-

    No more war

    I pray that we will get to see a peaceful end to war in our lifetime and that people of all nations around the world will learn to be more compassionate and understanding and accepting of each others cultures.The world has progressed so far technologically; yet mankind still doesn't know how to communicate effectively.Thanks for sharing this greatly needed message and well written, beautifully inspiring poem.

    Yes these verses are familiar and full of wisdom because there is no war that has ever be won and turned for the better. We must support the archangels by helping to get rid of these works of the devil....that is what wars are in a simplified word to make a point......."the works of the devil and fueled by misplaced power and jealousy.

    peace is always better...you have to have war at times,it is what it is...without that,we wouldnt be writing so freely...freedom is not free,My nephew spent 2 years in Iraq...were all very proud,he has fought for our freedoms.nobody likes war..its inevitable

    We are all constantly condition by the powers that be, that war is a necessary evil that we all must endure and that for all of human history man has waged amongst his own kind. This is a perversion of the truth, wars are waged by a chosen select few of power hungry megalomaniacs, of which take no other part in them after declaration. PEACE to all.
