there was this lil' white dove
he flew through the fig leaves
and landed by a squirrel
he told the squirrel proudly
"i want to take one more big splash
into the lake before I become
one of the greatest white doves"
the squirrel didn't understand
because the lake would still be there
the lil' dove splashed
one more big splash
and then he flew on
he then landed on a garage
to find a raccoon
he told the raccoon proudly
"i want to eat until my belly
is so full it's close to bust
one more time before I become
one of the greatest white doves"
the raccoon didn't understand
because the food has always been there
the lil' dove stuffed himself
one more time close to bust
and the headed out again
he then perched on a willow tree
where he discovered an owl
he told the owl proudly
"I want to do something dumb
one more time before I become
one of the greatest white doves"
the owl didn't understand
because instinct was all there was
the lil' dove released his grip
one more time to be dumb
and he fell from the tree and died
before he became one
of the greatest white doves
