"Got a new girl friend staying at my house”
While daughter flies south with future spouse
I’m keeping “Baby Puma” a Huntress of mouse
Discovered a pest problem much to my dismay
Jerry the meece scampering at night but not day
At first I was distressed with a feeling of detest
but he seemed more a friend than troubling pest
Would not seek chemicals or violent suppress
Would not choose a poison that he could ingest
Then without a goodbye away he trundled
with some ‘take out’ cheese he had bundled
Quite likely the reason he decided to desert
Was my Fuhr pawed loaner girl seeking desert
To Samba in Rio makes Niccole and Chris happy
And Baby Puma’s content with her Momma’s Pappy
