Poem Commentary

I speak of the real me within this flesh shell my soul my immortal soul, but then, ha, you can believe me or not I don't care. I am not seeking verification only wanting to speak my life in poem. So believe what you will, this is me.

The Demon Within

The demon within is my soul
He writhes in this mortal shell
He craves the life force in others
He feasts on the energy of the soul
He will never be full
The demon within is me
And I am He
When blood passes my lips I feel free
I feel the heat of it
I feel the spirit of whom it is taken from
Lust, passion, desire, no words can describe
The demon inside
He is cold but lives in fire
The demon within is me
I am vampyre
