Time and Death Go A Whoring

       I have come to find
       That love is blind
And death thereof holds no warning
       Though comes in time
       The love we pine
We of't get left in mourning
       In time all things die
And we are left to wonder why
Why time and death go a whoring
We seek this answer to a mystery so deep
Lost in ourselves awake but asleep
All the while out of our lives time is pouring
And still oh still love we seek
And closer still closer the death thereof doth creep
Inside our hearts and through our minds death is waring
Always in time all things die
And always we will wonder why
Why time and death go a whoring

I really love the almost abstract images that this piece conjured. I do think that your metering is a little off but that is nothing to worry about too much. The title is also really nice :)

One man's trash is another man's treasure. This is a beautiful poem. You have so much talent. You really shouldn't be so self-critical. Keep writing! I'd love to see more. :)

Very good. Questions the "why" of it all. We seek something that we know can't last. it is human nature and you've captured it here. Well done. :o)

oh, btw you spelled mourning wrong. No big deal but its kind of like a sudden stop in the middle of a great rythm.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
