A Summer's Day!
Soft sensations brushed my cheek's
The afternoon breeze came to comfort me
As my shadow stood at my side
The hands of time continued on bye
Ticking the seconds into minutes, then hours
Pocketing memories later required
children make believe every impossibility
To exists and who could resist
Their hunt for buried treasure or mermaid adventures
As they pranced around their green blankets
Admiring the many colorful heads
Popping up from the flowery beds
The adults came to wonder how
Their love for life had plundered
Mr sun beamed rays of love
Feeding our bright desires
Coating us all in warm attire
Floating fluffy and white
The clouds sent their wishes
To join the barbeques and picnics
Ruining their fun and many appetizing dishes
They had enjoyed loved ones company for awhile To treasure their laughs and smiles
Thou that day didn't go quite as well
As they had hoped it
Each and every moment
went just how it was suppose to
