    Only for so long
    Salt tinged emotion stained her cheeks
    Reflecting the memories her voice failed to speak
    Daily distractions could not break the minds chains
    Steadfast grasping his loving embrace
    nightly soaking the pillow case
    with hearts sorrow displaced
    Beneath the stony surface the feelings did rage
    Caged they battled fiercely
    tearing the boundaries only moonlit revealed
    in a dark room while the walls did conceal
    Intense weeping wearing a XL T-shirt
    Still seeping his familiar scent
    A reminder that did comfort yet did torment
    Patiently did she wait
    Till they would regain love
    As life left her with one last breath
    she smiled once again
