Behind My Eyes
Behind My Eyes.
I once wrote a poem
Without using words,
Because words can not define me.
The poem I wrote was never heard.
It can be read by looking inside me.
The poem I wrote had a message to say,
A message which came from my soul.
I can not recall what the message said,
I just know that its hidden behind my eyes,
On an imaginary little white scroll.
You don't need words to read me.
There is something good in the depths of the darkness and in the mountains of decay,
By living without it I couldn't possibly see it because I'm too blind to see.
If my vision were clearer I would be okay,
While I'm lost in myself and can only say:
"Please, won't somebody find me?"
My poem was never written down.
You don't need words to read me.
I'm starting to forget what the poem said,
But if you look behind my eyes,
Maybe you can remind me.
