Write It Down
Write it down.
Words from the mouth are quickly forgotten,
While words that are written are always around,
Conversation and feelings can last for a day,
But society won't remember a word that we say,
Unless that word is wrote down.
We all have the chance to make an impression,
While most give that chance away for a kiss,
But I chose to make an impression long lasting,
America is going to change.
We all have a purpose,
We all have a gift,
We all have a reason to live,
These words you are reading have reason and meaning and I wrote them in ten minutes time,
While the words you are speaking are deceiving and misleading and lack any meter or rhyme,
So stop the parade and turn off the sound and set the podium aside,
We can not move forward unless we unite,
we can not listen to the media lie,
We can not conform to corruption or bribes,
And we can not give up our rights.
We need our ears for hearing what is causing us this rage,
And we need our mouths for spreading words which direct our eyes to the right page.
We need to take a stand against our media and politics and chain of command,
We need to listen and speak what is spoken in truth and not of fear,
And we need to write a law that prohibits the U.S. from doing this again,
We are not going to listen to lies that say that She is wealthy fine,
And we are not going to bring with us our history of cheating when we move into a greater age,
These words are not censored and won't be erased until their purpose has been found,
But I'm glad I wrote that purpose down...
America is going to change.
