Together
Together.
A sharp pain in my heart envy's the soft white glaze in your eyes,
So often do I try to smile,
But this dour feeling which enthralled my life,
Can only keep love at bay for a while.
I will soon escape overwhelming sorrow,
Wearing new linens sewn from laughter,
Burning old clothing sewn from tears.
Butterflies will dance to an anxious melody,
When you replace my comfortable darkness with your glowing lantrid soul,
One we become in spirit and as two we become a whole.
Together partly on earth and together partly in sky,
We can share the moon and the stars,
If there could ever be a you and I.
