The Real Me
The Real Me.
I am not always truthful.
I am a writer, a poet.
I can materialize my thoughts.
I can manipulate words very easily, which affects some people negatively.
I am sorry for the occasional darkness, but that darkness comes from the world,
I've been taught.
My words also affect people positively,
But which one of these aspects comes from my heart?
If my words have no darkness within all of my kindness,
Then I would no longer have a story or plot.
I choose to write words that are true while mixing them with words that are not.
I like to stay mysterious,
Until somebody tells me that I have been caught, again.
My mind is subliminal to its realities,
When my conscience I am writing from deep inside.
Once in a while you'll notice that a glimpse of my real life has escaped through my pen,
But that's only when the battle is won,
And only after my mind and imagination have fought.
Mixing truth with fiction within my words is the portrait I have always painted with ink.
It's up to you to decipher my code,
or my perception of words might always be cropped.
Separating fantasy from reality is something my brain can never think,
because sometimes I enjoy becoming someone that I'm not.
I'm constantly changing the image of the reflection in the mirror I see,
And the reason for that is simple,
I do not enjoy being me.
We can all be anybody,
But if you piece my puzzle together,
It will show you the person I am inside, and the person my words are trying to be.
