I dont like any of you,

why don't you like me?

Because I am different and I am surreal,

and have different interests abroad,

does not mean that we can not be friends,
because friends is better than being a fraud.

I dont like any of you,
but my fists stay clenched in rage,
because I am different,
and I am surreal,
and you can't understand the words on the page.

So I stay mad at my self all the time,
and it's really my feeling that I hate,

while the feeling I search for I can not find,

because that feeling is great.

I do not like the things you like,
and I probably never will,
but we can still connect with eachother,
before I get that record deal.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
