Pocket Full Of Tears

Pocket Full Of Tears

Pocket Full of Tears.

I keep a button in my shoe,

I keep a locket on my breast,

I keep a wristwatch on a chain,

I keep a quarter in my vest,

I keep a padlock on my mind,

I keep a diamond in my ear,

I keep a heart that's filled with love,

I keep a pocket full of tears.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
