    DREAMS

    I dreamed of you last night
    You stroked my hair as I slept
    Whispering words of love and comfort
    I felt safe with you by my side
    When I awoke you name upon my lips
    But then I realized it was but a dream
    Your scent still hovering in the air
    I pulled my pillow close
    Hugging it as I cried
    Tears of sorrow stream down my face
    I wish you were here
    To hold me tight
    And make everything alright
    Where are you now?
    What has happened to our plans?
    Do you still want me?
    Do you still love me like you said
    Or have I lost you forever
    Only the memories of us to hold
    Only dreams of us to know
