VIGAL
I sit on the by the creek
Watching the moon rise in the sky
Spirits flow around me
Like mists upon the still Night air
I accept their presence
I feel their touch
Soft as a butterfly's wing
Fear is never with me
The spirits mean no harm
They are welcome company
they help ease my lonely hours
Tonight i sit with you on my mind
Gentle smiles flit across my face
Like dust motes in the wind
The moon rises higher now
Stark against the Dark night
thoughts of tomorrow skip across my mind
Hole like ice on a July pavement
The sky in the east is lighting
The spirits are gone
I slip on my sunglasses
As the sun rises over the mountain
Moving away from the creek
I slowly trod home
I'll come again tonight
To sit here at the creek
Watching the moon rise and set
And the stars wink in and out
Until the Spirits go home to rest
Or you return to me
