    MY ANGEL

    Slowly the daylight deepens into Night
    I move in and out of the deepening shadows
    Making my rounds
    Pausing I speak to a group
    Headed for the Mission
    I walk them to their destination
    Watching to insure they are safe inside
    Evil stalks the Night
    Girls disappear every Night
    It is not safe on these streets
    Violent drug filled days followed by
    Screams echoing in the Night
    I move on Listening to the Shadows
    Allowing the Spirits to guide me
    To keep me safe
    Only I have survived the attacks
    Safe only because of the Night
    My unnatural connection to it
    Daylight will come soon enough
    Reveling the scars and glowing eyes
    That Mark me a freak
    That mark me as Protector
    The Mark of the Beast
    Tamed only by the Dark Angel within
