THE LITTLE LIGHT
The world is dark
Not one spark of light shines
Blind we stumble through
the alleyways and streets
A flicker of illumination
Draws us like moth's to a flame
A child clothed in filthy rags
Cradled against a mothers chest
But from this child's sweet innocence
Imitates a gentle glow
The first many have seen
Looking up with a gentle smile
The little child brought light
Back to our dark world
With one single sentence
"Do not be afraid, Jesus loves you still"
