For Daniel
There's a boy who isn't the same,as he used to be, back in the day
I don't know what happened,
might not ever will,
but I can tell from his face, his mask,
that he feels,
different than he used to be,
like something's gone,
or something's been weighing down
on his shoulders far too long.
He's a smart kid,
a quiet friend to others around,
but inside I know,
there's a battle raging on, and the sound,
of contiuous bullets, and bombs,
hurt his ears,
He's a rock on the outside,
but in lie his fears
I won't tell his secrets,
won't critisize or judge,
will let him have my shoulder
when he needs to cry,
Will hold him down when away
he wants to fly.
He wants to run away,
but I could never let him go,
He's a strong boy, just doesnt know
what to do.
We all have problems,
if only we all knew,
then we would all be closer together...
