    Goodbye

Departing from the one's that became my family
The minutes winding proceding the goodbye that comes, inevitably

But I cannot find the words to say, the gratitude I don't portray
As I've imaturely left grudges scattered in my own destain

I remorsefully set a course for myself to follow
But i gave up as my pride was too large to swallow

Goodbye to the warmth, the thoughts, the senses
That will fade into an image that can't be seen by lenses

Regardless I hope for the best, to the one's that shared love with me
But I will not say or show it as I leave desperately

This sharp image of myself I detest
For I realize someday This image I will contest

Eventhough the future is vague and enticing to my own knowledge
I can only hope that my sadness and gratitude they acknowledge

But the hardest part of saying goodbye is the reality is that it may be the last time.
That the one's I took for granted will be completly shut out of the shine

SO goodbye, to those who shed tears as we departed
And goodbye to you all whom of which my heart you have regarded.

Beautiful. I can relate in so many ways and I can sense that this poem was written out of pure honesty and truth. Nice work.

Excellent write for a Goodbye! Some complexities of time don't always work themselves out. There must be an initiation from one to jump start change, the different or a wish of desired Hopefuls in what could of been or should of been. I like it! :)

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
