Li La Loo
There once was a song that I once knewLi la loo, li la loo
Sung with dulcet tones and gentle arms
And warm words that left me soothed and charmed,
Dreaming silly things, and safe from harm
Li la loo, li la loo
It once was a song that I once knew
There once was a tune of words quite few
Li la loo, li la loo
And I'd hum and I'd hum and I'd hum
Savoring the words like butter rum
Until my tired tongue becomes quite numb
Li la loo, li la loo
I remember a tune, words quite few
There once was a ditty, sung by two
Li la loo, li la loo
But now those times are gone, the hours spent
More often alone with words well meant
Sung with one voice, this is how it went
Li la loo, li la loo
Once a sweet ditty and sung by two
