Dream Unto Eternity
Footsteps fall heavy as I approach the dais,
Sounding so solemn in the vastness of quiet
As I step under the cold light of redemption,
I find myself stripped of my every pretension.
And all that remains is the core of my soul
Released from the wretchedness, ragged but whole
I sleep now to await my dreaming in lieu
Of forsaking false visions seeming so true
Now, under the cold light that surely preserves me
I will keep dreaming until I find Eternity.
