scarlet
Tears that run
cuts that bleed
pain as much as the ocean is deep
silent screams
a scar
a mark
a hidden life
so far apart
a secret colored scarlet
a lie woven in red
not always are we found dead
a struggle to hide
a pattern to break
no time to try
everyone wonders why
a heart torn
stitched and glue
continues to break
to fall
to shatter
fragile as glass
red as a rose
scars like ridges
tattered and worn
struggling to cope
wishing themselves a moment of truth
