The One

The One

 Another tainted scene

Spiteful words and tempers flared

Events unnecessary

That could easily be spared

The one that claims no wrong

Inevitably in the center

Upon the family hand

Once again a painful splinter

 Uncanny, the ability

To twist things in one’s mind

When within there lies no fault

To the truth becomes so blind

 How smoothly does the wrath

Flow from an evil tongue

Yet weary are the rest

Of this verse so often sung

 Someday will come the time

The tirades fall upon deaf ears

When one finds themselves alone

In a pool of their own tears

Another tiff between the skunk and the turtle. after it is over, the turtle writes a novela with the skunk as the villan antagonist. It's never good to spit into the wind. . . .lol Harv

Goes a little deeper than that when two elderly parents spend Christmas alone when their son and his family are less than an hour away... However you are right about one thing...I'm spitting in the wind.

Yes, that is not a joking matter, just sad. Harv

Happens all the time, sad to say. Then the outpouring arrives late. A remarkable write that is so true for so many.

Fortunately....this too shall pass! Time heals many things. Thanks for reading!

Sounds like a song I may have sung on occasion, and been the subject of. This is rich with many simple truths that take a lifetime to practice and a flow that makes it, all the more, a joy to read! Applause building!

Happy New Year to you! Thanks for reading.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
