    Our Last Thought

    We always were so worried
    About which one of us passed first
    Neither wanting to be alone
    Knowing last would be the worst

    For some uncanny reason
    God saved us from that strife
    He let us die as meant to be
    As husband with his wife

    Lying in each others' arms
    Neither one of us distraught
    We faced our death together
    With “thank you” our last thought

    It is captured for tribute to 'lovers who died with undying love'! Lovely and sad, but we of their future have found them to consider the legacy left by this love. A noble poetic offering, here, and on the forum! Applause building!
