A Poet's Walk

A Poet's Walk

A poet's walk is no ordinary walk
Different people in different ways
Walking straight or walking sideways
All poet's walk different

The poet's look
And the way they see things
Is the way they appear to one another
With a different look
And a different feeling

A poet's walk is very differently
You don't know where they are
Or who they are
They are all around

Walking the halls
Sweeping the floors
Opening their lockers
No one knows
Where the poet's are

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
