    Poem Commentary

I love my mother with all my heart and I would do anything in the world for her.

    Mother

You are so sweet you make my heart melt

You are the greatest mom in the whole world

I always think about you day and night

You make my heart fill with joy and enthusiasm

You are my hopes and dreams

That one day I will be there for you

You are always there every step of the way

    Even when I was down

I will always be there by your side

    When you are down

And hope one day I’ll say I love you

    And you’ll say it back

I will love you every moment of the day

Even when I’m mad at you

You are the light of my life

And the hopes of all my dreams

That one day soon it’ll come true

You will always be in my life

And I will always be in yours

    We will always be friends

And not just mom and daughter

You will always be the sensation in my life

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
