Lights
It was five after nine
And the news i did not know
Thirty more minutes went by
Still nothing
Ten o'clock rolled on
Nerves shaking, asking if I'm okay
Waiting for a phone call
Still nothing
Until about 11 o'clock
Two hours later
As my sister said what's going on
I couldn't believe it
All I could think was
Thank God their alive
See
Wearing no seatbelts
And people not watching where they are going
There wouldn't hav been an accident
How do I know that though?
I don't
The story goes like this
Driving past the light before it turned red
A truck struck the drivers side
Spinning around
As my other sister hit the rear view mirror
Hair torn with cuts on her head
Sprained knee
Bruised side
I couldn't live without her
It could have been worse
Nephew was okay
So was my other sister
Lord thanks for watching over them
I hate wrecks to
See about two years ago
My sister and I had a wreck
She was driving
I was the passenger
We were going to get some pizza
As we did that the brakes went out
Soon as I know
I had to get out and help my sister
No airbag on my side
Seatbelt hitting my chest
Bruised
Jessica's arm sore
Atleast we had our seatbelts on
I was scared to death months later
Just because I saw the whole thing
Two miracles
As this time we had our church shirts on
I think it was a sign
A sign from God
