Eternity

Eternity

Summer breeze blowing in the wind
Still fragrant is that everlasting time
With no single whisper
And no single breath
And everything blowing beneath us
Eternity will never find us
Through the looking glass we wonder
What is life?
How can it be discovered?
And through the open gate it lays
Our hearts fill with wonders
Of that glorious majestic way of man
Mankind is like a fortress
And not letting go
Things take back where they belong
In the stillness of the days
We still wonder
And of that man in the looking glass
Eternity will still never find us
