A Wall Around My Heart
When I looked into your eye’s
Never did I see
That you wouldn’t be there
In the end with me
I only saw us laughing
Walking hand in hand
Growing old together
Running barefoot in the sand
I built my world around you
Like a fortress made of stone
It doesn’t really matter now
Because I live there all alone
I’ll be tearing down this fort
Then seeking a new start
So as each of those stones come down
I’ll build a wall around my heart
