The Cool Wind On Your Face
Golden rays break through the darkness
Uncovered eyes blinded by the light
Walking through fire a lover gets burned
By another loves cold heart
Feet bare and bleeding, as they stumble
Over only fond memories
As a cold hard shiver shoots up their spine
The blood slowly runs down from their veins
Sounds of joy and happiness replaced
By a fading heartbeat where love once lived
A raging river of love flows away
Into a quite ocean of loneliness
No more dreams of forever
Just deafining cries of silent tears
As a body lays there lifeless
We look up to God then speak down in prayer
The corpse is but nothing
It was all just an image portrayed
So what is real, life or love
It must be love
Because you can feel
You feel the heat, see the light
Then suddenly you fall into darkness
And feel the cool wind on your face
