Sin and Tragedy
I am lost inside a dark abyss
It’s like walking through hell at night
I need for you to seek me out
Then lead me into the light
Strangely, I do not fear the darkness
For it removes me from evils sight
I need your hand, reach out to me
I am falling deep into the night
It is a raging battle in this horrible place
A faint cry then undaunted screams
It’s hell on earth and torments my mind
Then relentlessly haunts my dreams
Only you can shine the way
Bring the light so that I might see
From now until the end of life
Through all my sin and tragedy
I need that light to free myself
Before evil comes and takes control
I am afraid it will rip out my unguarded heart
Then consume my unsuspecting soul
Hold my hand and don’t let go
I need for you to guide the way
It is always night time in this place
How I long to see the light of day
Only you can shine the way
Bring the light so that I might see
From now until the end of life
Through all my sin and tragedy
