    Beauty

    Real beauty lasts forever
    So they say, however
    Long ago my beauty died
I was left stained from when I cried
Left in the shadows by you
My friend who was never true
    I lie awake at night
With in my head, a tainted sight
Of what could have been but never was
When you left without a pause
By your actions, not your doings.
I am here pondering many things
With all amazement I lasted this long
I turn away to wonder what went wrong
I've tried my hardest to make it work
You let me down, to fall in the cirque
    My beauty has withered away
Without the one who used to convey.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
