    Poem Commentary

Inspiration: Accepting truth and help from those close to me.

    Written in NY

    Blind Bitterness

     This shell on the outside
Is trapping what I now must hide.
     Forever to follow close
In the footsteps of all those,
Who once knew what they wanted
But now only have what they hated.
The only way to change these misfortunes,
Is to open up the mind
    And not be so blind.
    Let in those you know
Not live life, sheltered and slow.
    A blind bitterness hidden within
Drawing this line, ever so thin.

There lays great pain in many a soul. yes it is hard but good to except help.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
