    Easier to Do

    It's been a tedious run,
    These months with you.
    I'll drop you soon enough
    My attemt to forget
    I was almost in love.

    You may think you know
    All the little things.
You may think you know I care.
Truth is, there was never a doubt
Big as the one you have.

Long nights in the pouring rain
And what you made me forget.
I'll hate the time we shared
When we share nothing at all.

I hope you know it's you this time
For once it's not on me.
The person you turned out to be
Was far from what I need.
You're far from what I want.

It's not worth it to ask you to change
You're not worth the thoughts I waste.
Moving on is what we do.
    Together we'll be happy,
I've just got one more thing to say.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
