    Poem Commentary

Inspiration: Haha, another from the vampire days.

    Written in NY

    Lost In Time

    Hatred is the day
    Beauty is the night
    Pure emotional fray
    I never will fight
In the days we are so dazed
    The sunlight burns my skin
Forever now my mind is crazed
A slave of night when days begin.
    The moon is out.
    My fearful prey,
    I'm out and about.
    The daylights rays
    Attack my soul.
    The nights are my days
My heart, a deep black hole.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
