    Poem Commentary

    a forced peice of work that we did as an exercise at a conference I attended years ago called "Creating Women"

    Creating Women

     Hear our voices speak with strength
    giving value to the way we think
    view the things our hands create
    see the beauty and appreciate

    A mother's words, a sister's smile
    the way they make us feel worthwhile
    our friendships have a lasting touch
    teaching as we share so much

    This is almost a female empowerment chant. You are very articulate.

    brevity is your watchword. i liked it though except that the rhyme in first stanza did not seem to flow...

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
