Lover's Quarrel
Even when we're fighting
an inner love still cries your name
a whisper from my inner heart
that your love still fills my veins
Something within me falls apart
and dies without your touch
My world would not be spinning so
if I did not love you so much
Even though our love is strong
feelings still must intrude
and quarrel in my heart's depths
until they all show through
But know that anger's fleeting words
were not said with much thought
and when I do not stop to think...
sometimes my foot gets caught
Although we fight, as lovers do,
we still stand strong as friends
we struggle but we always know
that our love never ends
sometimes beauty shows through me
in the lifting of this pen
but all within's not beautiful
so please forgive me when....
You know that I wear passion's heart
a coat of many colors
but most of them change quickly
and blend like painting waters
so please remember why you love me
the sugar and the spice
I love you now and always
even when I'm not so nice
an inner love still cries your name
a whisper from my inner heart
that your love still fills my veins
Something within me falls apart
and dies without your touch
My world would not be spinning so
if I did not love you so much
Even though our love is strong
feelings still must intrude
and quarrel in my heart's depths
until they all show through
But know that anger's fleeting words
were not said with much thought
and when I do not stop to think...
sometimes my foot gets caught
Although we fight, as lovers do,
we still stand strong as friends
we struggle but we always know
that our love never ends
sometimes beauty shows through me
in the lifting of this pen
but all within's not beautiful
so please forgive me when....
You know that I wear passion's heart
a coat of many colors
but most of them change quickly
and blend like painting waters
so please remember why you love me
the sugar and the spice
I love you now and always
even when I'm not so nice
