Heart of China
Heart of china
glazed with a mask of steal
hollow and empty
filled with empty fear
broken by betrayal
shattered by broken trust
a shell that's so convinsing
to feel icy cold to the touch
The last trace of warmness
glimmers through the cracks
Love lingers behind the mask
still as fragile as glass
cupped inside warm fingers
unseen by mortal eyes
cuddled in the corner
where some love still hides
'cause when she was a little girl
she whispered a sincere prayer
Yet not quite soft enough
that her Savior couldn't hear
Even though she has forgotten
and lived inside sin's chains
Even through her rejections
her Savior still remains
glazed with a mask of steal
hollow and empty
filled with empty fear
broken by betrayal
shattered by broken trust
a shell that's so convinsing
to feel icy cold to the touch
The last trace of warmness
glimmers through the cracks
Love lingers behind the mask
still as fragile as glass
cupped inside warm fingers
unseen by mortal eyes
cuddled in the corner
where some love still hides
'cause when she was a little girl
she whispered a sincere prayer
Yet not quite soft enough
that her Savior couldn't hear
Even though she has forgotten
and lived inside sin's chains
Even through her rejections
her Savior still remains
