Dreamer
I don't know when I dreamed itI dreamed so long ago
but some how through the course of time
it wedged within my soul
can you feel it little angel
like the buzzing of the bees
like the rippling of the oak trees
as the breese rips through her leaves
It was on your face that morning
though never truly there
when I looked into your eyes
and I was lost winin your stare
was it wrong to love you
with a love that longed to reach
or to touch you with my loving hands
that longed to let you teach
I know not how you held me close
but never held me near
or let my dreams be whispered
just to fall on your deaf ears
or how you kissed me deeply
yet you never felt my soul
or the flames that burned within me
from my dreams, the hottest coal
I know when I awoke
when my eyes were opened wide
with the truth of your deception
ripped my dreams from my insides
in your arms I was a prisoner
a willing slave forced to comply
a show for you to laugh at
as my sould just fell and died
My heart passed through your fingers
a trinket on your hand
when all the while I'd trusted
only you to understand
try to feel it, fallen angel
the song of Heaven's keys
like a whisper from the Heavens
like the rippling of the seas
Could I have dreamed a miracle
and let you lock it in my soul
grasped the wonders of the universe
and not have been made whole
could you have closed my eyes to it
and shut the music out
now the angels sing so beautifully
and teh dream....the dream is not shut out
