    Not a Day Goes By

Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you,

wanting to take back old pain, and start anew.

I justified my silence with a simple reason,

    You were full of treason,

you taught me pain comes with every season.

Sucking away dreams like a leach,.

you falsely made me feel love was in my reach.

Not a day goes by when I don’t think of you,

I now know what it means to be blue,

You were the answer to all that would heal,

when all you wanted was to see me kneel.

We've all been there a time or two......they make us yearn, and then they turn.................Good poem, Kalel..................gogant

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
