    ORCHID LOVE

     I bought my love an orchid today, she loves me so much you know.
    I bought my love an orchid today, her face was all aglow.
    I layed it upon her breast, she held it in her tender hand,
    She looked so lovely as she smiled, upon this soveriegn land.

    I bought my love an orchid today, she returned the kiss I gave,
    This rapture has never been so strong, this love we worked to save.
    Relinquishing this crown of self, bringing love to bear,
    I found this woman one within myself, uncomprimised to truely care.

    I bought my love an orchid today, it is her forget me not,
    We walked hand in hand in the morn' in the eve a beautiful spot.
    I bought my love an orchid today, each caress I remember well,
    The orchid of our affection, the orchid she loves so well.

    I bought my love an orchid today, laid it tenderly upon her breast,
    I bought my love an orchid today, as I laid her finally to rest.
    I bought my love an orchid today, lowered her tenderly to the grave,
    I kissed the orchid, then her lips, for this man she surely did save.


    I bought my love an orchid today, for the love that captured my life!

    POWERFUL what a twist sad but beautiful to .. love is the single only thing that matters really in the end... and it's the hardest thing to hold onto... don't we all know this too well.

    Very moving and sad at the same time. Lord knows there nothin more painful then the lost of a love one. I too have known this kind of pain but have yet to write about it. This is a beautiful tribute and hopeful one day I will be able to do the same. Thanks for sharing, Infiniti

    thanks Mary, I appreciate it. I am glad you enjoyed it. I will try again to get to your website to post it for your readers. Every now and then, something pops into my head and I am able to expand on it successfuly. I try and Write from the heart.
