THE SWEETEST SOUND
the sweetest sound heard round the world, is that of a child,Thier amazement at what life does offer, the creatures in the wild.
In awe they journey through each day, experiences to help them learn,
Inside this precious one, an incredible fire does burn.
Looking to thier elders, for wisdom of the years,
Laughing at funny stories, that chase away all fears.
I've played all day now I am tired, so please read to me,
As dreams urn into daylight, a new world to see.
Bring me through the darkness, As a new day does unfold,
Awaken me with your smile, strong arms there to hold.
Take me into the world, make me aware,
All that life has given, our love can share.
Teach me how to fish, put that ugly, crawly thing on my hook,
Then watch my wide eyed grin, as I pull that monster from the brook!
Share with me all that you know, I want to be like you,
And be there for me always, the one I look up to.
Tach me how to drive, I want a shiny red car,
My first date will come to meet you, my shining star!
Teach me how to golf, I'll be your caddy,
AS with pride I speak these words, "That's My Daddy!"
