SILENCE
I need to plan
For It Is Silence I Seek
Letting thought travel before I speak
A way to welcome a new day
That is not characterized by my mind’s trumpeting glare
Looking out from my mind’s eye
A must find a way to achieve silence while awake
The blare of sirens and bass booming rides
Seranade me on hot summer days’ and humid city nights
And yes the tune is fresh
But yet in still I need silence in my life
The pitch of defeaning decibels
Resonate on my cerebral cortex as senses strum,
From advertisers in search of consumers
To consume thru products of no real use
How possibly could I choose without using
Silence as my guide rule
Nowadays silence seems far away
Although thoughts reached in the midst
Of noise have become a norm and a trend for today
Now the TV is off but my mind still screams
For silence that is becoming harder and harder
To see.
I need to hear silence in order to conceive
I need to see silence to further believe
What GOD needs me to do and how to move
Before and inbetween any moments of actions
Or letting in emotions such as passion or just reacting
Even choosing what to wear to work or to play
On any given day
To be Silent is synonymous to being
Spiritually Active
That’s right Silence is a verb that means Spiritual Action
To be still and listening to Silence
Is where and when I
Feel love of self manifest in
Me by the very Presence of God
So hush my friends in this time of distortion
Too much stimuli is the greatest
Lie portrayed by those who mean to deceive and to take us away
So I’m turning my computer, tv and radio off
And listening to the melody of complete
Silence to Know and Understand My Way
Through all things both great and significant
All the way to the mundane and real small
HUSH………shhhhhhh! Is what I will say
Silence is what is necessary to understand your way!
