SPEW

These poems that you write,
so banal and contrite,
so obscure, and deranged,
nothing has changed .

It comes and it goes ,
the rhyme, and the prose,
the levels, the lyes,
the why not's, and the why's.

It spews from your face,
it's sooo commonplace,
the dribble, the drool,
from a poet,
 a fool.

Ha ha ha! I must keep this handy when my writer's block tries to force me into writing that's not fit to potty train my puppy with! Of course, I'm reading into it as being somewhat facetious, but even if I missed the true intent, this was a fantastic read!!!

Perfect. great rhyme and rhythm. Some people can just do poetic enticement with any topic. This is a perfect example. It just makes you want to read more by that poet.

is it really your place to say? i feel that from having such harsh words that not everyonwe will ever agree this saddens me

Tempy, .."ever agree" on what? , and more importantly , why must everyone agree? My dear all poetry is not created to make YOU happy, . I can reccomend Dr. Seuss for you however. That's pretty happy stuff but don't read about the Grinch 'cause he's bad. Try to be less opinionated and more critical in your comments so people can understand your reason(if any) more than just how it made you feel. Thanks for the read though. Can't wait to read you.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
