A Dream
I dreamed a dream of you...
It was a sweet dream.
Then I awoke, and you weren't there.
My heart ached for sleep, to again dream, but
alas no sleep came.
And consiousness brought with it no dreams, and
no dreams meant no you.
So anxiously I lay in wait for slumber to
embrace me, to once again dream.
For if I have sweet dreams, my love, I also
will have you.
