    A view from the shadows

    There she was
    A beauty like no other
    Unlike many
    She took my heart
    And saved what was left
    Of my broken happiness
    My eyes lite up everytime
    I went to sleep
Every night was like a dream
    A fantasy taking form
Every time I closed my eyes
    The starlight shone my way
    My mind created such images
The love in my heart took form
    The nights were like bliss
    The mornings
    Used to reflex back
    On my lunar journy
    Filled with love and wonder
Of course as life has proven
    When love brings happiness
    Limited as it is
    Sorrow will come
    A cruel cycle such
    But true all the same
    So there she is
    My Amore de vie
    And yet a forbidden angel
Who I am unable to bring myself
    To peer my unworthy eyes
On her mirrors of shimmering saphires
Never again to hear her heavely voice
    That calmed the evil conflict
    Raging within my pantera soul
    What stupidity I have shown
To dream of such pathitic thoughts
    I guess whatever I obtain
Wether it give mental, physical, or emotional bliss
The fates will always show me my place
    In a demention of lonliness
    Were I wll always reside
    Walking blindly
Looking for my Rosa de blanca
Yet a vain search it is
    My hands will move blindly
    Voice calling though the shadows
Feeling the cold air cutting my heart
    And for what
A futiile effort to try and pick up the pieces
    And see clearly
Just to see my little bonita one last time
    The result of my efforts
My soul has truly become glass
    Fragile and cold
    Lifeless and reflective
    To see everything
But unable to touch or experience
    The other side of life
    Happiness
