Change
SHE DOESN'T WANT TO DO IT
NO, SHE WANTS TO HANG ON
THINKING IF SHE GAVE HIM TIME
THAT IT WON'T BE TOO LONG
BEFORE HE REALIZES
THAT SHE'S THE ONE FOR HIM
AND HE WILL OPEN UP HIS HEART
AND GENTLY TAKE HER IN
BUT SHE KNOWS THAT IT'S NOT RIGHT
TO MAKE PUSH COME TO SHOVE
CUZ SHE KNOWS DEEP DOWN INSIDE
HE JUST AIN'T READY FOR HER LOVE
AS SHE GATHERS UP HER COURAGE
SHE TRIES TO TELL HERSELF
THAT THE AGONY SHE'S FEELING
IS CAUSED BY SOMETHING ELSE
SHE WALKS INTO HIS ROOM
AND SHE SEE'S HIM LYING THERE
SHE'D DO ANYTHING TO HOLD HIM
BUT SHE WANTS TO BE FAIR
SO SHE LOOKS HIM IN THE EYE
AND SAYS SHE MUST MOVE ON
AND SHE GUESSES SHE IS RIGHT
'CUZ HE DOESN'T TELL HER SHE IS WRONG
SO THEY STAND FOR FINAL WORDS
BUT NOTHING ELSE IS SAID
THEY JUST HOLD EACHOTHER CLOSE
LETTING SILENCE SPEAK INSTEAD
SHE BEGINS TO TREMBLE
AND THE TEARS FALL HELPLESSLY
SHE THINKS SHE FEELS HIM SHAKE
BUT SHE CAN'T BARE TO SEE
HE WALKS HER TO THE DOOR
OF THE PLACE WHERE THEY HAD MET
THEIR MOUTHS TASTING OF THE OTHER
THE BITTER-SWEET REGRET
SHE TURNS HER BACK TO HIM
AND SLOWLY WALKS AWAY
HOPING TO HEAR THE LOVING WORDS
ASKING HER TO STAY
ONE LAST GLANCE, HE'S STILL THERE
BUT SHE KNOWS THAT HE'S GONE
SO SHE SCREAMS INSIDE HER HEART
AND WITH THE PAIN, SHE'S MOVING ON.
NO, SHE WANTS TO HANG ON
THINKING IF SHE GAVE HIM TIME
THAT IT WON'T BE TOO LONG
BEFORE HE REALIZES
THAT SHE'S THE ONE FOR HIM
AND HE WILL OPEN UP HIS HEART
AND GENTLY TAKE HER IN
BUT SHE KNOWS THAT IT'S NOT RIGHT
