E-Mail Mate

I saw his post on line one day,
My first E-Mail was just for play
Exchanging humor sparked a flame,
Our thinking seemed to be the same.
Each joke fueled our smoldering bond
Of friendship first and then beyond
A melting hug when we first met
A time that I won’t soon forget.
Both soul and eyes deep like the sea
They were filled with love, perhaps for me
Friendship turned into deep care
Then a lifetime of love for us to share.
We made love as if we’re one,
Then skin to skin after the fun
Naked in each other arms
Drinking in each other’s charms
And when our future calls the roll
Will it still find us soul to soul
I’ll tell you what my heart’s saying
Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes, it’s praying.
