    Poem Commentary

    "I love you" has become so hackneyed it has lost any real significance. I wanted to translate I love you into other phrases that carried the message more convincingly. How could you say, "I love you more powerfully than; If Aladdin gave me three wishes, I would use all three to wish for you. One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite poems.

    You Are (to her)

                                        Dedicated to all those who want

                                        to say "I love you", and don't know how.

     

                                        You are in all my fairy tales,

                                        You are my lady fair

                                        You are in all my love songs

                                        Singing your deep care

     

                                        You are in all my movies

                                        You are my fem-fatal

                                        You are in all my novels

                                        You are that sexy gal

     

                                        You are the one I hope to see

                                        On a commemorative stamp

                                        You are all three wishes

                                        When I rub Aladdin’s lamp

     

                                        You are what I wish for

                                        As stars shoot ‘cross the sky

                                        You are the face I always see

                                        In the clouds as they drift by

     

                                        You are all these things and more

                                        You are all the dreams I’ve felt

                                        You have changed my real life

                                        You have made my real heart melt.

    That'd be awesome! Will try to do that today. I've got it all in my head, heart and soul...just tryin to do it poetic justice. Thinkin the title needs to include chocolate of some sort, bittersweet of course! :) in order to aptly describe what I was feeling when I read your poem.

    This is such a beautiful poem. Was bittersweet for me as my heart is wondering if he still thinks about me the way you speak of here...Anyway, enough about me; you are a fantastic poet!

    Thank you for your kind remarks. I did a search, and found NO poems written by you. Why? Tell me your "bittersweet " story, and I will write a poem about you.
