    God sure knew that everyone

    Needs companionship and care

    He knew that people need someone

    Who would always be right there.

     

    He knew we needed someone

    Who’s there with a helping hand

    Count on them to be the one

    Who will always understand.

     

    God also knew that we would

    Need someone to share our play

    And give us courage would be good

    when troubles come our way.

     

    Someone to cherish in our heart

    From the start till our life ends

    Someone we’ve loved from the start

    That's why God gave us friends.
